Our Classes

Crucial early years

At Seeh Phinong International Kindergarten we welcome children between the ages of 18 months to 6 years old. This is a crucial time in a child’s early development. During these young years we aim to help your children grow in confidence emotionally, socially and cognitively as well as physically to prepare them for their education later on in their childhood.

Our Bunny Class is our youngest class at SP. The children in this class range from 18 months to two years.   It is part of our Nursery and often joins our Rabbit classes in numerous activities such as; PE and Outdoor play. The Bunny children will begin their introduction to English through nursery rhymes and creative play.

Our Rabbit class is made up of students from 2 years to 3 years of age. The Rabbits enjoy activities in which they learn through play. We start teaching pre-writing and pre-math at this level through fun games, art classes and music. We aim to give the students a solid foundation upon which they can build their academic knowledge. The Rabbits also spend much of their day developing their independence skills.

The Bluebirds are our K1 class. The children are between 3 and 4 years old in this section. Students begin to learn how to read and write at this level. We also introduce mathematical concepts through fun games and activities to the children, building on the educational foundation established during their time in the Rabbit class. The Bluebirds continue to work on their language and social skills during their ample play time!

The Kangaroos are our K2 level. The students are 4 to 5 years old in this class. During their time as a Kangaroo, the students build up their reading and writing skills. They start to learn mathematics formally, preparing them for K3 and elementary school. Kangaroos also begin formal music class; learning how to play the melody horn, and iPad learn classes, building on their phonics, maths and creative skills.

The Giraffe classes are made up of students between 5 and 6 years of age, which is the equivalent of Key Stage 1 in Primary. The Giraffes continue with their academic studies, building up their reading, writing and mathematical skills, as well as advancing their computer and music skills. By the end of the year our Giraffes are ready to hit the big wide world of primary school.

The Dolphin class is comprised of students from ages 5-6 who plan to continue their education in a Japanese school setting. These families usually want to send their child to the Japanese School in Bangkok, or they are planning to locate back to Japan and send their child to a Japanese School there. These students will be learning at a Key Stage 1 level, similar to our Giraffe students. They will be practicing reading, writing, and more advanced math.
